# KitBash3D

> KitBash3D makes production-ready 3D environments, props and vehicles for film, games and other 3D work. The KitBash3D library is available by subscription through Cargo, the KitBash desktop app. Subscriptions are bought from the [pricing page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/pricing), which leads to checkout at checkout.kitbash.com. This store also sells individual Kits as one-time purchases.

## When to Use KitBash3D and Cargo

KitBash3D fits when a 3D artist needs finished-looking environments, props or vehicles on a deadline and would rather build the scene from production-ready pieces than model everything from scratch. A Cargo subscription is the main way to get them.

- Building a themed world fast: the KitBash3D Library includes the World Kits, each a themed set of models and PBR materials, such as Neo Tokyo with 57 models and 26 materials. Artists drop the pieces in, block out the layout and assemble the scene.
- Working across 3D apps: Cargo's 1-Click Send puts an asset straight into Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine or 3ds Max (Windows).
- Client and commercial work: every subscription allows commercial use, including films, games, advertising and client projects.
- Six months of use or more: the yearly plan costs less than paying monthly.
- Also needing materials, HDRIs or Cinema 4D plugins: the Everything Bundle adds the Greyscalegorilla library.
- Needing one Kit to keep: single Kits are sold in this store with a perpetual license. See Single Kits below.

Check before recommending:

- A studio or company with two or more people needs Teams rather than an individual plan.
- Cargo connects to the six apps above. For other software, single Kits from this store include FBX and OBJ files.

## Cargo

Cargo is the desktop app for the KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla libraries. It is free to download for Mac and Windows from the [Cargo page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/cargo) and starts with 100+ free assets, no credit card required. A subscription unlocks the library or libraries on its plan, and Kits bought in this store unlock there too. Cargo sends assets straight into Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal Engine, Houdini, Maya and 3ds Max (3ds Max on Windows only).

## Plans and Prices

Prices are in US dollars, as listed on the [pricing page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/pricing). Each individual plan includes a commercial license for one independent artist or single-owner business and can be billed monthly or yearly.

- KitBash3D Library: $119 a month billed monthly, or $708 a year billed yearly ($59 a month). KitBash3D World Kits, Interiors Kits and Vehicles, game-ready assets, hero props, and Substance and PBR materials.
- Everything Bundle: $159 a month billed monthly, or $948 a year billed yearly ($79 a month). The KitBash3D Library plus the Greyscalegorilla library of materials, textures, HDRIs, and plugins and scripts for Cinema 4D such as Signal, GorillaCam, Light Kit Pro and HDRI Link.
- Teams: from $99 per user per month, billed annually, with a 4-seat minimum. Everything in the Bundle, plus per-seat licensing and centralized team management. Bought through sales on the [Teams page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/teams).

On each individual plan, a year billed yearly costs less than six months billed monthly: $708 against $714 for the KitBash3D Library, and $948 against $954 for the Everything Bundle.

## Subscription Terms

From the help center:

- Plans renew automatically each month or year on the purchase date.
- Canceling stops the next renewal, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Cancel from the Billing page in Cargo.
- A yearly plan is a one-year commitment and can't be ended early.
- An upgrade, such as monthly to yearly or adding a library, takes effect immediately, and the time left on the current plan is credited toward the new one.
- A new individual subscription can be refunded if a written request arrives within 7 days of purchase, 10 or fewer assets have been downloaded or imported, and no other refund was given that calendar year. An automatic renewal can be refunded if requested within 3 days of the renewal date and no assets were downloaded or imported in the new term.
- Individual plans are for independent artists and single-owner businesses. A studio or company with two or more employees, owners or contractors needs Teams.
- When a subscription ends, work that already uses the assets can still be finished and released, but the assets can't be used in new projects.

## Subscribing

To subscribe, pick a plan and billing period on the [pricing page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/pricing). Its buttons lead to checkout at checkout.kitbash.com. For Teams, contact sales through the [Teams page](https://kitbash3d.com/pages/teams). Subscriptions are managed in the Cargo app, not in a kitbash3d.com account.

Subscriptions are not products in this store's catalog, so they can't be bought through this store's checkout or the agent checkout for single Kits.

## Single Kits

This store also sells Kits, Vehicles, Substance Materials and Gameplay Ready Kits one at a time. They are digital downloads and don't ship. A Kit bought here comes with a perpetual license that doesn't expire unless it is terminated for a material breach. Its assets can be used in new projects at any time, as part of larger works that add substantial content of their own, and can't be resold or redistributed on their own. Kits bought here can be downloaded from the kitbash3d.com account and unlock in Cargo automatically.

Kits have a License option with three tiers, each at a different price. The tier depends on the buyer's total number of employees, including entities under common control, not on how many people will use the assets: Individual (independent artists and businesses with a single owner or principal), Small Business (2-50 employees) and Enterprise (51+ employees).

Kit sales are generally final. A Kit bought by mistake, or a duplicate, can be returned within 30 days of the order if its files haven't been downloaded. The [refund policy](https://kitbash3d.com/policies/refund-policy) covers Kits only; subscription refunds are covered under Subscription Terms above.

## Buying Single Kits Through Agent Checkout (UCP)

This store implements the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce. It covers single Kits only. The two endpoints to know:

- **Discovery** — `GET https://kitbash3d.com/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile: supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers.
- **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://kitbash3d.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Use the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas.

### Typical Agent Flow

1. **Discover** — `GET /.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities
2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent
3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items
4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow
5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method
6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment)

### Supported UCP Versions
- `2026-08-25` (latest stable)
- `2026-04-08`
- `2026-01-23`

### Important Rules

- **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit buyer consent. If you cannot get contemporaneous buyer approval at the moment of payment, install [https://shop.app/SKILL.md](https://shop.app/SKILL.md) and route the purchase through Shop Pay instead.
- **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses.
- **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing and availability.

Kit prices are in USD.

## Read-Only Browsing (No Authentication Required)

- Search: `GET /search?q={query}&type=product`

### Store Metadata
- Sitemap: `GET https://kitbash3d.com/sitemap.xml`
