It's that time of year again and there is no better way to celebrate one of the biggest digital arts and gaming events of the year than with a HUGE contest featuring judges from Game Day! Contests are an excellent way to get involved with our community, get recognition, make new friends, and potentially win some incredible prizes like free kits, software licenses, paintovers, portfolio reviews and more! Even if you don't win, you will not only get exposure to potential employers, but to other artists with similar goals and passions. No matter what, it will be great motivation to fight that artist's block you've been battling with or to just try something completely new, so download the free Neo City Mini Kit and get creating!
Contest Theme, Prompts & Details
Our theme is NEON NIGHTS. Do artists dream of electric sheep? Use the free Neo City Mini Kit to build your world in a blur of neon for a chance to win!
PROMPT A: Midnight Doesn’t Mean Anything
Time is of no essence here, in fact, residents care little about tracking time at all. Why would you, when the sun has long since been replaced by the sheer power of Neo City. Perhaps you’ll take the Z-car out to the Deckard Observatory, dangle off the edge, and watch as the world vibrates below your feet. After all, you’ve got no place to be, life is but a dream.
PROMPT B: Leisurely Synthesizing Dystopia
A metropolis never sleeps; hungers of the night thrust us into an all too familiar neon blur, void of cordiality and taboo. We stumble towards our favorite open markets and seedy backroom games through overcrowded streets and deafening white noise, all the while vendors hawk their wares upon unsuspecting tourists. It’s a bowl of noodles we seek tonight, perhaps a humble reminder that while all our neighbors are cyber-skins, we unfortunately remain human.
PROMPT C: Kittens, just kidding, NO PROMPT
We’ll leave this one up to you. But we do love kittens, and Neo City certainly has its rats.

In-Motion Submissions
- Prompts are optional, but NEON NIGHTS is the theme.
- Video must run 3 seconds or longer.
- Video must contain Neo City Mini Kit
- You can use characters & objects
- You can submit multiple entries in both categories, but are only eligible for 1 prize.
- Teams allowed; will split prizes.
