We were so excited to partner with Motion Designers Community and create a brand new category for the Industrial kit #kb3dcontest: The In-Motion Awards. It was our most compelling contest to date with over 145 entries from over 32 countries, and we want to thank every single artist and team that entered this ultra-competitive showing of talent and hard work across both categories. The worst part of every competition is having to choose only 13 winners from such a talented and inspiring group, however, just like Dancing With The Stars or when you stage a coup against your national government, some winners had to inevitably emerge.
In-Motion Winners
1ST PLACE:
Vincent Huang
3D generalist from Taipei, Taiwan
In his piece titled "Industrial District, Pearl Bay, 2025" Vincent's combination of atmosphere, composition, animation and soundscape created a powerful scene of dynamic wonder and provoking reality.
2ND PLACE: Kar Ayvazyan
Made with Houdini and After Effects, Kar's imaginative piece used motion in an original and exciting way to do something not many people thought of doing with Industrial: destroy it.
3RD PLACE: James Field
Educator at University of Lincoln
James made Industrious using the Unreal Engine and created a captivating, but lighthearted sequence with excellent atmosphere and direction.
" It's the best group for inspiration. Beautiful works. "
-- Fernando Galeano, member of the KB3D community

1ST PLACE:
Christo Crafford
Concept Designer | Illustrator from Dubai, United Arab Emirates

2ND PLACE:
Quentin Bouilloud
Concept Artist from Paris, France
Quentin's piece evokes soviet-era tyranny and his composition delivers an overwhelming sense of powerful scale.
