The Product Drop: A Product Viz Challenge

We’re putting the same 3D model in everyone’s hands and challenging you to turn it into something entirely your own.


Create a still image or animation that makes us want to buy it. Build a world around it, create a brand for it, or let the product speak for itself through lighting, materials, composition, and motion.


The product is the same. What you do with it is entirely up to you. Take it in any direction you want: luxury, playful, futuristic, surreal, minimal, cinematic, seasonal, or completely unexpected.

The Challenge

Everyone gets the same product: Pump Bottle 01.


Your job is to turn it into the star of a fictional product campaign.


Think like a creative director. What does the product look like? Who is it for? What's the world around it? Is it sleek and minimal, bold and colorful, cinematic and dramatic, or something we haven't seen before?


You can focus on the product itself or build an entire campaign around it. Use lighting, materials, textures, camera work, set design, environments, and motion to create your vision.


Whether you're a motion designer, product artist, lighting artist, materials artist, or environment artist, there's room to make this challenge your own.

  • Download the challenge product (along with other free curated assets) and create your campaign:
    • One still image, or
    • One short animation under 30 seconds
