What was your favorite part about working on Future Warfare?

"This Kit was really intense! It is hard to choose what my favorite part was but if I had to choose, I would say it was working with our amazing concept artist Vlad to really nail the look and feel of this Kit. We had a lot of discussion about the stories we wanted to tell, like the crashed Drop Pod, the types of battles that would be happening on the planet, and what kind of defensive infrastructure would make sense to incorporate across the Kit. Vlad even did some animations with his concept models to help figure out how some of the mechanisms worked with some of the more complex models. It was a blast and his dedication to excellence carried through to the final product." - Mike Reese, Head of Kits

“This Kit was about creating a Future Warfare image, but not a far-flung future, just 50-100 years from now. That means without technologies that are too futuristic, with recognizable elements of current battle scenes, but improved in the best traditions of science fiction. It was exciting to immerse yourself in thinking about what military equipment should look like in the future, how trenches and medical buildings should look, and how robots will participate in the war. We wanted to show that everything is as automated and mechanized as possible, and it was especially gripping to develop how the architecture should be designed in these conditions.” - Vladislav Shlenov, Concept Artist

“My favorite part about working with this Kit was how much I learned in the process. I’d never used trim like we used on Future Warfare, and I love how many details we could add to the models using trim sheet. It was so cool to create them and apply those to the models.” - Anderson Araujo, Texture Artist

“It was a complex project with lots of panels and UV Mapping. I tried to add as much detail in the texturing phase as I could, trims sheets almost everywhere, and a ton of work on UVs. My favorite part here is my contribution to the future happy faces of KitBash3D creators, who will use this project for games, movies, concepts, whatever. With every project, I try to contribute to the industry.” - Alexey Druzhkov, Texture Artist

“The best thing about the Future Warfare Kit are the textures! There are too many nice trims and details on them - the design of this Kit is really awesome!” - Mohammad Afshari, 3D Modeler

“My favorite part of working on Future Warfare was all the hard-surface detailing. It was definitely a step-up from the previous Kits I've worked on and really elevated my toolset and skills in that area.” - Joseph Sylvester, 3D Modeler

"The whole process of getting this Kit together was quite an experience, from the concept stage, thinking on how things would work and move, to the modeling stage dealing the complexity of the structures, and lastly the huge amounts of details added during the texturing process with Alexey and Anderson elevating the Atlas and trim work to bring the Kit to the next level." - Luis Tornel, Asset Supervisor

Do you have a favorite model from the Kit?

"My favorite model is the Drop Pod. It packs a lot of punch! The models and textures are super detailed, it has a ton of fun interior elements, and the crashed version has so many cool story elements that it is hard not to love everything about it." - Mike Reese, Head of Kits

“It is difficult to determine which concept is the most favorite here since each has something special. But I think the Communications Center is one of the most exciting locations. It is engaging both in the view from above and from the silhouette, that is, as an independent architectural object, but it also has many storytelling elements that fully immerse you in this universe.” - Vladislav Shlenov, Concept Artist

Future Warfare 3D Assets - Headquarters | KitBash3D

“I’m going to break the rules here, but I have to choose more than one. From the props I love the Pod, the Rocket Launcher, and the Mobile Armory. From the buildings I love the Military Base Checkpoint, the Bunker and the Repair Shop, but this is only to name a few, all models are insane.” - Anderson Araujo, Texture Artist

“Actually I like almost all the models in this project equally, their idea and design just struck me the first time. I would especially like to highlight the Air Traffic Control and Bunker, they are huge buildings with a lot of UV mapping and I modeled additional decals for these buildings. I hope you like what we have done. And Drop Pod is awesome ;)” - Alexey Druzhkov, Texture Artist

“Hmmm.....it's a tie between the Communications Tower and the Med Bay. The concepts were really cool and I had a blast modeling both!” - Joseph Sylvester, 3D Modeler

"The Drop Pod is the winner for me as far as Props go. For Structures, the Repair Shop, because of all of the stories that can be told within just that building with the big crane, the control center, and all of the robotic arms on the bottom floor - it's just awesome!" - Luis Tornel, Asset Supervisor

Is there anything about the Future Warfare Kit you'd like to highlight or shout out?

"The textures on this were also a sight to behold! Huge shoutout to Alexey and Anderson who really elevated this Kit with their dedication and skills. Both of them put their heads together to come up with a balance of details, intrigue, and story. There are so many fun details in the materials and I think our users are going to be utilizing the work they did for a long time to come. I couldn't be happier with the work they did." - Mike Reese, Head of Kits

“The Kit turned out to be so deeply developed because everyone who worked on it brought something of their own. For example, the modeling team added to the concepts with additional elements, and the texture team gave this Kit an even more aggressive militaristic look. The team paid attention to every detail, from the joints of the structures to the smallest bolts. In short, every asset can be viewed up close in detail, which is a great merit of the whole team.” - Vladislav Shlenov, Concept Artist
