What was your favorite part of working on Havana Nights?
"The wide range of architectural styles was my favorite part of this Kit. From the Neoclassical architecture in the capitol to Art Nouveau, this Kit had a wide variety and kept me on my toes." - Joseph Sylvester, Modeler
"My favorite part about working on this Kit was modeling the Structures and Props inspired by Havana. I really love the design of that city, and that was really enjoyable for me!" - Mohammad Afshari, Modeler
"Havana Nights was an amazing challenge as I had no real experience with Havana, Cuba before. My favorite part was diving into what made it so unique: the deep culture, the amazing architecture, and of course the nightlife! There is so much to love about Havana, and it was a blast making a Kit that brought so much of what makes Havana so memorable to life." - Mike Reese, Head of Kits
"I loved the style of this Kit, especially the buildings I had the opportunity to texture. Loved the contrast between really clean and dirty parts of the building. It was an interesting challenge to balance each material to be dirty and clean enough at the same time." - Alex Luna Garvin, Texture Artist
Do you have a favorite model from the Kit?
"My favorite model is the bar, the color palette and the wear and tear that was worked on it I really liked, as well as the shapes and scales that the conceptual artist proposed. I can imagine myself having a beer in that place while listening to some Cuban music and the smell of cigars." - Gabriela Herrera, Texture Artist
"Of the buildings that are not overly dirty: the corner store and café. And for the more decayed buildings: the warehouse." - Luis Tornel, Packaging
"My favorite models from the kit are the downtown clusters. They are so cool and have so much richness to them. I really like their architecture and the amount of details there are in such a small area. They are vibrant and colorful as well along with being worn and well used. They bring so much character and life to the Kit!" - Mike Reese, Head of Kits
"The cathedral is probably my favorite. Very unique shapes, intersections and columns for this structure made it a challenging but very engaging to model." - Joseph Sylvester, Modeler
Is there anything about Havana Nights you'd like to highlight or shout out?
"Loved how very distinctive the buildings are in this kit. All of them feel cohesive but unique at the same time." - Alex Luna Garvin, Texture Artist
"Shout out to the Texture team! I love the textures and colors of this Kit. There are high-quality textures, which add a lot of depth and realism to this Kit!" - Mohammad Afshari, Modeler
"HUGE shoutout to Gabs and Alex for the amazing job on texturing this Kit. Decay, damage, and grunge are not easy to make look good, and they did on this Kit! Also, the set dressing done by Joe and Mike brings the Kit to a whole different level with all the little stories on every corner" - Luis Tornel, Packaging
"I want to give a big kudos to the modelers Joseph and Mohamed as their modeling work was amazing. They achieved several complex pieces with a good topology, plus the set dressing gives a lot of life to the Kit." - Gabriela Herrera, Texture Artist
