After a long wait, we’re excited to announce the release of Cargo for macOS Beta, bringing one of the most highly-requested features to life. Mac users can now directly access over 20,000+ high quality assets in Cargo to import directly into Blender, Unreal Engine 5, and Cinema4D. We want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible community for your patience and support as we’ve worked to develop this version of Cargo to bring the whole KB3D community one step closer to a parity experience.
Why Was Cargo for Mac Delayed?
Many of you have eagerly anticipated Cargo on macOS, and we understand the frustration of waiting. Our journey to deliver this update took time because we needed to first stabilize the core application on Windows. This involved refining performance, improving user experience, and ensuring that the fundamental architecture was ready to support macOS.
Once this foundation was solid, our team began developing specific optimizations for macOS, ensuring compatibility with key integrations like Blender, Unreal Engine 5, and Cinema4D. Throughout this process, your enthusiasm and support during the Alpha phase kept us inspired and driven.
Today, we’re thrilled to finally share Cargo for Mac with you.
What’s Included in Cargo for macOS Beta?
The Cargo for macOS Beta is focused on delivering the 1-click import and access to the entire KitBash3D asset library and our Cargo Exclusives with initial support for Blender, Unreal Engine 5, and Cinema4D on macOS. Cargo for macOS Beta is specifically optimized for non-Intel devices. Stay tuned as we continue to add more software to the list as we are incredibly committed to expanded compatibility. If your preferred 3D software isn't yet supported, join the waitlist to be the first to hear about it when it goes live. Your insights and feedback will help us fine-tune the macOS experience and ensure that future versions of Cargo for Mac deliver the value you expect.
