Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job), “The Call,” a trailer for the upcoming Halftime Show during Sunday's Big Game, features an epic lineup of hip-hop all-stars Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar alongside our Los Angeles 3D assets! Watch the trailer below to see if you can spot them.
The trailer, which plays out like a cinematic short film, introduces the headlining acts for the upcoming Halftime performance and includes a mix of their iconic tracks like “Rap God,” “The Next Episode,” “Family Affair,” “HUMBLE.,” “Still D.R.E.,” and “California Love.” Between vignettes paying homage to the legacies of each performer and their creative processes, special effects shots show the progression of a chess game as the artists make their way to the big game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. In the end, Dr. Dre is seen as the chess master - a nod to his influential role in bringing these talented musicians to the forefront.
